[pann] I REALLY HOPE K-POP JUST DROPS THIS INFANTILIZING CONCEPT ALREADY

The infantilizing concept is not the same as “fresh/bright” concepts. I really think they need to stop dressing idols — who are high school age or adults, not elementary kids — like babies just for a “concept.

Even if there’s no sexual expression, dressing them like that at an age where their personality is already forming feels like a violation of their dignity. Above all, the fact that there’s demand for this concept is just low-level… they should just dress according to age.

It’s way too Japanese-style and just feels gross to watch.

1. Not just criticism, infantilizing concepts really do need to go.

2. Whether it’s male or female idols, anything baby-ish is extremely disgusting.

3. Low-intelligence/baby concepts make me want to vomit.

4. Not really

5. Stop writing such comments.

6. As for ILLIT, they just dressed them cute, but people sneakily criticize again, tsk tsk.

7. Personally, I wish idols would fix their mumbling way of speaking. It makes them look incompetent.

8. When I lived in Korea, it was just “cute,” but living abroad made me realize how strange aegyo really is. Even in the U.S., there’s aegyo-like behavior or “pick-me” stuff, but seeing grown men and women act like babies makes me seriously lose respect.

9. The female idol above isn’t quite infantilized, but the male idol below definitely is. Looking at other members’ concepts, the girl is just high-teen level — not infantilizing.

10. Female infantilization works, which makes it disgusting. and male infantilization doesn’t work, but they force it anyway, which is also disgusting.
